use freepbx as vicidial phone

Postby dreedy » Tue Aug 08, 2023 3:59 pm

Hello,

I have seen previous post of people wanting to do this and i have a sales section and an Admin section that i would like to use vicidial as the calling system and the freepbx as the phone extension. I am close as i have setup a iax2 truck and it is working but everytime i dial the phone it keeps sending the call as 2015/default. What would be the proper way to setup this?
1- mysql/apache Server (ViciBox 11) Dell R640
1- Dialer (Vicibox 11) Dell R620
1- Web (Vicibox 11) Dell R620
1- Archive Server Drobo 810n

It is certainly possible as we have done this several times before over the years, but you'll need the Asterisk CLI output to see what is going on behind the scenes when a call is placed in order to fix it.

is the correct way of thinking on this a setup like this?

vicidial -- IAX2 account entry (TRUNK)

freepbx -- IAX2 incoming (TRUNK)

1- Dialer (Vicibox 11) Dell R620
1- Web (Vicibox 11) Dell R620

The best set of instructions I can provide are probably the Cross-Cluster-Communication instructions for letting VICIdial clusters send calls with lead data from one to the other:

Please make sure for required asterisk ports are open for your ip and also check your internal firewall is not blocking requests to your server too.
