HI everyone im facing an issue that many leads are with different area codes out of state and get out leads on the hopper several times a day. The leads are moving to state with different area codes, it happens a lot how can i set the
GMT Offset based on Campaign location ? not based on the area code of the number ?? i've found a temp fix and made an update to the database
UPDATE `vicidial_list` SET `gmt_offset_now` = '-5.00'
.

This is an unfortunate artifact of the adoption of cell phones. Manually forcing the GMT offset can break how VICIdial handles timezones and could cause problems down the road.
One solution to this would be to set your campaign's "Local Call Time" to 24-hours, then use a lead filter to exclude states the campaign doesn't target. However, this assumes your leads have the correct state attached (not one loaded based off the phone number) AND that you are on top of managing when the campaign starts and stops dialing.
How do you know what zone the leads are in?

Because i have all the information (address, city, state, zipcode)
I've found in the Vicidial Manager Manual that there's an option based on the lead location.
If you are loading leads for the USA and you have zip codes in your lead file, you have the option of selecting the “POSTAL CODE FIRST” option in the Lead Timezone Lookup menu. Using this option will give you more accurate time zone coding of your lead file than just using area code to determine timezone. You can specify the timezone for each lead in the “owner” field, and have use that when loading leads by selecting “OWNER TIMEZONE CODE FIRST”. If you've loaded the NANPA list into the system, the dialer can draw upon that resource to calculate the timezone when “NANPA AREACODE PREFIX FIRST” has been chosen. The NANPA prefix list will give you more accurate time zone encoding of your USA and Canadian lead files within VICIdial.
Now all leads have -5.00

We offer a "carrier lookup" solution which allows you to query a number/DID and get real-time response on what country, state, who is the carrier, mobile or landline, LRN etc... Our data is updated daily so even if the number is ported you have the most accurate details on each number. You can scrub your prospect list based on those parameters and make sure you are not calling numbers that have ported to different area's entirely.
