Safe to skip recording mixing?

Postby ragnadik » Wed Jan 16, 2008 11:43 pm

Hi,

is it safe to ignore the -out recordings and not mix them anymore to reduce server load? When I listen to the -in recording I can already hear both parties talking. I can't play the -out recordings on media player (invalid format) and the file size of -out recordings is only 44 bytes.

I am using vicidial 2.0.3 and asterisk 1.2.24

Thanks,

ragnadik

Anybody have the same scenario? Previously this does not seem to be the case, -in and -out recordings have variable sizes. But now I'm getting a fixed size of 44 bytes for all -out recordings. the only thing that changed in my set-up is the asterisk version. could this be asterisk related?

Thanks!

If you are only doing VICIDIAL recording, then yes it is safe to completely ignore the -out recordings.
