Manual dialing from VICIDIAL - Issues

Postby needlz » Thu Mar 06, 2008 4:56 pm

I have the latest build of Vicidial installed and I am able to make outbound calls from my SIP client through a VOIP trunk via Binfone.

Following the 1st tutorial in the $100 manual I created a list, campaign, user, etc. and was able to log into the agent interface. When I logged in to the agent screen, my SIP client phone rang and I picked up the line. I clicked on the 'Dial Next Number' button and it executed a call (verified on the CLI) and I connected with the the outbound number it dialed.

1st Issue:
It did not display any lead info in the form.

2nd Issue:
The 'Hangup Customer' button is disabled. It does not do anything when I click it.

I am not sure how to properly terminate the call and disposition it in order to get to the next lead in the hopper.

Any ideas of what can be wrong? I am not seeing any errors via debug messages in the CLI.

thanks!

Did you put the call_log agi before the dial on extensions.conf?

Yes it is.

[default]
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,2,Dial(${TRUNKBINFONE}/${EXTEN:1},,tTo)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,3,Hangup

The problem seems to be only in the functionality of the agent screen. The form does not load the lead data and the hangup button is disabled. Is there something else that I am missing?

Sorry... I thought that was mentioned in my initial post but in rereading I see how vague it was.

I am using the latest VicidialNow build. Agent station is an X-Lite SIP client. I can manually dial out directly from the X-Lite client using a Binfone IAX trunk.

Browser is Firefox 2.0.0.12 on a PC.

thanks again!

Have you taken a look at the database(vicidial_list table)? Are all of the fields filled in?

Does anything change at all on the agent screen?

Hey Matt,

The vicidial_list table is populated with leads. All the fields have values with exception for user, address2, address3, province. I didn't need the last 3 but am not sure what the "user" field is. The lead_id, entry_date, modify_date, status, user fields are not part of the lead list I imported and are populated by the db/application.

thanks again,
erik

And no, nothing changes on the screen. I can click the 'Dial Next Number' button but the 'Hangup Customer' button is disabled. I am also able to click on the 'start recording' button and 'stop recording'. I am also able to send DTMF to the SIP client through the 'Send DTMF' button / text field. If I select 'Lead Preview' before clicking the 'Dial Next Number' button, the system does not dial the number.

I need to log out of the screen and log back on in order to call a new number. After 1 call is made, I cannot use the screen to make a 2nd call.

Can you turn on AGI Output to BOTH, turn on server logs, attach to the asterisk screen and post the output of the call being placed.

This is the output after I log into the agent screen, vicidial dials my SIP client and put me into conference, I click the 'Dial Next Number' button, the external number is dialed and external phone is picked up, after a brief amount of time the external phone is hung-up since I cannot execute the hangup from the agent screen.

I blah'd out my binfone account/password

This doesn't look like "screen -r asterisk" output. It doesn't have any of the AGIOUT STDOUT output from the agi output scripts.

Sorry about that. Here is the output from the attached asterisk screen:

I edited this output to include the AGI debug info - I had to screen copy it before and after the hangup event in order to get all the output. There is probably a more clever way of capturing it but this is the best I could do. :)

This output looks like the exact same thing. I can't seem to get the AGI Rx << messaging to appear. Do I need to run something else before/after attaching to the asterisk screen?

You don't want the AGI rx output, we don't need to see it.

nope. If you go to the "Admin -> Servers" section of admin.php and set the logging to Y and the AGI Output to BOTH then connect to "screen -r asterisk" you should be seeing the proper AGI output that we are looking for.

Thanks Matt. I set my AGI OUTPUT to 'BOTH'. The logging was already turned on. I then restarted the server and tried the call again and copied the screen output from screen -r asterisk

The output looked almost identical to the original screen copies. I took one version with 'agi debug' ON and one OFF

With agi debug on:

There seems to be more info in the FASTagiout.current_date log file. Would this contain the right stuffs? I am not sure why it is not dumping the same info to the screen.

The agiout files have some output as well, but it is best to see it in context of the Asterisk CLI output.

It seems that everything is writing to the fastagi call_log in extensions.conf. I attached to the ASTfastlog screen and captured the cli output. Is this better? I am not sure how to get what you are looking for. Is there something else I need to set? Better yet, is there a post containing an exampe of the type of output you are looking for? I can keep messing with stuff until I get it.

Yeah... It looks like I got back the lead data in a ajax response but it's not populating in the form.

Do you have lot of addons installed in firefox ? Maybe one of them is messing with this . Firefox works perfectly with vicidial .
I am available for part time support and remote installations :)

Mostly developer addons (firebug, web developer, grease monkey, yslow). I haven't had problems with Firefox with anything else but I would assume that the plug-ins are somehow messing with the vicidial agent screen.
