Hi,

We have installed Vici Dialer and are able to access http://10.10.10.10/astguiclient/admin.php (the IP here is just an example), http://10.10.10.10/vicidial/admin.php, and http://10.10.10.10/agc/vicidial.php from the local machine that we have Asterisk and ViciDialer installed on BUT we cannot access them from the net from other computers. We are able to get the first page when we try to access http://10.10.10.10/agc/vicidial.php and when we enter user id, pw and campaign it says INvalid ID. We are not even able to access the first page for the other 2 URLs. Strange thing is that we are able to access them all on our local machine. Please advice where we should look for the problem. We are using Slackware 10.2 with Asterisk, Zaptel and X100P.

We had installed this about a month ago and were able to log in from other computers.

What Linux Distro are you using?

How are you able to access the login pages from the server while on the server?

Is your server behind a firewall?

are you trying to access it from computers that are also behind the firewall?

We are using Slackware 10.2.

None of our computers or server is behind a firewall (as far as I know). Is there a way to double check. Also, is there a setting in Slackware that allows remote login?

You're not trying to access 10.x.x.x over the internet correct? 10.x.x.x is RFC 1918 address space (non-internet-routable).

Thanks for your response Matt. I have put 10.x.x.x here instead of our actual static IP here on the forum. We actually put our static iP followed by astguiclient/admin.php, etc and try to access it over the internet but are not able to eventhough we can access these from our local computer/server.

Please explain your server configuration.

Does it have 2 interfaces? 1 public, 1 private?

Does it only have 1 public interface?

is that interface RFC 1918?

Do you do NAT?

Do you have a Firewall?

We have only 1 public interface. That is our static public IP.

We are not behind a firwall.

As far as I know - we do NOT do NAT. Is there a way to double check that?

If your server is connected to INTERNET WITHOUT a firewall, it is just a matter of time until someone will find it and hack it.

You must contact someone with knowledge of firewalls who can assist you with protecting your system
