new-0.51.6 installatin problems.

Hi Guys,

I'm installing newt-0.51.6 and it gives me the following error:


gcc -g -o test test.o libnewt.a -lslang -lm -static
/usr/lib/gcc/i486-slackware-linux/4.2.3/../../../../i486-slackware-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lslang
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [test] Error 1

My System has the following hardware descriptions:
Poweredge 2550 (2) 1GHZ
2 GB RAM
RAID 5
Slackware 12.1, Linux Version 2.6.24
Apache 2.2.8
PHP 5.2.5
MySQL 5.0.45
Asterisk 1.2.28
Zaptel 1.2.26
Libpri 1.2.7

I have noticed problems with newt on newer versions of zaptel. The good thing is that it is not required for Asterisk/Zaptel or VICIDIAL to run.
