pushing my dialer hard questions

Postby goose36 » Wed Jun 25, 2008 2:00 pm

What problems persist if I push the dialer hard.

I have the asterisk dialing with a dial level of like 15.0, 13.0, etc...
for 5 reps because the dialer is detecting SO MANY asnwreing machines.. and to fly through them i increase the speed.. but I Want to know what problems can persist for doing that.. does the server detect people and put them as answering machines, etc etc..

or what could be the problem where the dialer just detects a big load of answering machines and autodial no answers..???

we are spending a big load of money on minutes and the production is starting to decrease and i need to fix that problem so that the company keeps on.

Before the new updated version that we have right now which is Vicidial VERSION: 2.0.4-120

I used to have the dial level between 3.0 to 5.0 and i used to increase it all the way to 8.0 or 9.0..

then after installing the updated version I´ve had to run the dialer at like 10.0, 13.0 or even 17.0..

anything wrong their?

the dialer is detecting a lot and a lot of answering machines.. i have the AMD on.. with it off it passes a lot of calls but a lot of answering machines.. but still i never had to increase the dial level to that much.. and is costing us a lot.. does know any know what the problem could be?

Have you tried turning AMD off and setting your dial timeout in vicidial to 15-17 seconds?

I have tried it without AMD, and I have to drop the dial level to 5.0.. and we get calls like crazy afterwards. But what I haven´t tried was changing the timeout.. how would changing the timeout help by the way.. but I will do it.

Also, when I change lists with AMD on, all the lists I have to maintain with the dial level real high..

Lowering the dial timeout will mean you will not get as many answering machines without having to use AMD.

my telco got back with me stating not to have my dial level at 15 or 17 because it can kill their asa (average speed of answer), which will drop their rating as far as them being a telco.. is this true?
