Mysql Persistent Connections Issue!

Postby jhashmi » Tue Aug 26, 2008 8:32 am

Hi i installed vicidial on two servers
1 Asterisk , Vicidial
2 Mysql

Problem i am facing is of too many persistent connections being opened and maintained which results in filling the default 100 connections limit . If i increase it further it has no affect as even when there is no calling at nights it keeps increasing and fills the limits . Now there are two options which some to my mind decrease the wait_timeout from default 8 hours to something less or remove the persistent connections option of php . Has anybody enountered such a problem and what was the resolution as i am sure there may be some bug which cause these connections not to release ,is there any latest release which sort out this issue . This is a 50 seat call center and help will be highly appreciated . The load on the servers are ok but once the connection limit starts increasing above hundred load also starts to increase .

The PHP code in VICIDIAL does not use persistant MySQL connections.

How high have you turned up the concurrent connections setting in mysql?
