Do i need a X100p card for timing?

i have 1 pc server with vicidial now installed, 12 agent comps, 2 cisco routers, i havent tested it with more then 1 call at a time because i don't have agents yet.
Will I need some kind of timing device? Can someone explain to me exactly what the x100p card does?

Hi,
you don't need an extra card only for timing purposes.
If you don't use hardware as a timing source, you can use ztdummy for timing.
