Dropped calls at the same time

Postby lmora » Mon Oct 12, 2009 7:23 pm

My agents suddenly have their calls dropped simultaneously and can't find the root cause.

I've noticed the following message at CLI that i don't know if it is the origin of it.

[Oct 12 16:45:04] NOTICE[23633] rtp.c: Comfort noise support incomplete in Asterisk (RFC 3389). Please turn off on client if possible. Client IP: 216.6.45.139

IP belongs to my sip carrier, do you think is this related to the dropped calls?

My system load average is really low since never is higher than 0.5

Asterisk version 1.4.12

Thanks

probably not related. more likely a networking issue of some sort. when the calls drop, do your agents lose contact with vicidial or do the prospects just all get dropped from the conferences, leaving the agents alone in the conference?

given the odds, you are likely experiencing a network outage of some sort ... what sort of network bandwidth do you have? and is your telephone server sharing this bandwidth with other systems (desktop users surfing the web ... my personal favorite being peer-to-peer networking like limewire, but also things like a huge download by a manager sitting at his desk in some other room ... if he's on your bandwidth and chooses to download a 25 Meg video ... )

You need to upgrade Asterisk to at least 1.4.18. Versions before that in the 1.4 tree are not stable.

We recommend 1.4.21.2
