I have a manual dial campaign.
I click dial next number and I get waiting for ring for about 5 seconds.
During this time I see cal is making progress on the asterisk cli
The Vicidial agent interface then shows a live cal at which point i see
Call is ringing on the asterisk cli followed by another call is making progress.
Y is this being shown as a live call in the interface?
Anyone got any ideas?

Because it IS a live call. Manual dial calls are generated directly from the agent's meetme room. A live call is defined as a channel in the agent's meetme room other than the agent. The agent must initiate a "hangup request" to terminate this call. The agent is in full control of the interface for this call and must disposition the call so Vicidial knows what happened on the call since there is no auto-dial script in control of the process. Which all leads back to it IS a live call, even if it never gets answered the agent must tell Vicidial that it was a "no answer" call because 'VDAD' (the Vicidial Auto Dial script) is NOT in control of this dialout. Your agent is.

Thanks for your response, I should have closed this one.
I realised after further investigation that it was actually the way it was supposed to behave. I thought at one point that it was an issue with my carrier.
So vicidial in manual mode classes a call as live as soon as it starts ringing.
