Question about voicesync timer

Postby KeithHBW » Mon Jun 18, 2012 10:29 am

We have been using: http://amfeltec.com/products/x1pcie-system-timer.php in our dialers for sometime now. However, I was recently about to purchase some more because we are about to expand and I started reading more up on them.

In /etc/init.d/vicidial I have this set: ZAP_MOD=voicesync

However, when I go to run: /etc/init.d/dahdi start
I get:
Loading DAHDI hardware modules:
wct4xxp: done wcte12xp: done wct1xxp: done wcte11xp: done wctdm24xxp: done wcfxo: done wctdm: done wcb4xxp: done wctc4xxp: done xpp_usb: done
No hardware timing source found in /proc/dahdi, loading dahdi_dummy
Running dahdi_cfg: done.

Is this intended? I thought the reason to get the voicesync card was to not use the dahdi dummy anymore? Thanks!

/etc/init.d/dahdi should not be enabled. The /etc/init.d/vicidial init script does this instead.
