connecting to IP trouble

Postby Bartly » Sun Jun 24, 2012 1:10 am

I have wipped out a current Trixbox on my server with vicibox. Typical network config: server to router, router to swith to ISP router. Wifi connected to router for in-house outbound for the Internet. Installed vicibox on the old TB server and set ip as the same server IP as listed for that server, selected the network card that was being used for the Tribox setup, followed mask and gateway IP's per the intenal network listing for a current system that is getting out on the wifi internet connection as set for a PC.

For some reason, when the vicibox is tring to update openSUSE for OS update 1.5 . I'm being told that it couldn't resolve host. I have a feeling that I'm not getting out to the web through the current ip set up. I'm sitting in a prompt: Abort, retry, ignore? [a/r/i?]

How do I get back to the lan config to change the ip or test to see if I'm connected to get out? The system does see the network card when booting. But having issue I believe with getting out.

Need Help, my phones are down and I need them up ASAP!!!! Trying to use the current Trixbox network setup and phones (Polycom) minus the Trixbox, since I installed vicibox over it. Router, Swith, Server, Wifi all are labeled with IP's from the Trixbox install.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.
