SIP acknowledgement in Asterisk 1.8.5

Hi all,

I am using asterisk 1.4.42 with vicidial on centos 5.7 It is working fine without any problems. But when I tried with asterisk 1.8 here comes the problem. when the agent is logged in I am not getting acknowledgement ring. I worked on certain pl's like AST_managet_listen.pl and AST_manager_send.pl et.c, but no use. Can anyone guide me on which files I have to work and what services I have to upgrade. Rough ideas are also very helpfull to me.

This is my first post in VICIDIAL forum. If anything gone wrong in my thread or with my english. please excuse me.

Note:

1.) I tried to install asterisk-addons-1.8 but I am getting dependency errors. Is addons have anything that will help in SIP acknowledgement ?

2.) I upgraded only asterisk without upgradation of dahdi and other services. Is any other services are there that will help in SIP acknowledgement ?

3.) I configured Gtalk with asterisk 1.8. It is working properly for both inbound and outbound calls. As asterisk 1.8 supports more functionalities I am planning to configure vicidial with asterisk 1.8.

Vicidial is not yet compatible with asterisk above 1.4.

Vicidial version 2.0.2 is way beyond obsolete. Install from the .iso on "Vicibox.com" which will install Vicidial 2.2.1, 2.4 SVN (from the disk) or 2.6 SVN (if you update both the OS and SVN during the final phase installation).

Always list your Vicidial "Build" which is in the lower left corner of most admin screens. (ie: Vicidial version x.x.x build xxxxxxxx)

williamconley thanks for the reply. I seen in bounty thread regarding "vicidial with asterisk 1.8" will be done in certain time. So when can we expect that will be completed.
