Missing call logs

Postby mythus » Mon Nov 05, 2012 9:50 am

Hi,

I have a strange issue , when I used AST_CLOSERstats.php script to do a report I noticed I have no older records than 1.09.2012 , but the system is operational from 1.07.2012.
This script uses vicidial_closer_log and vicidial_did_log tables to do the report. I checked the tables and I see that vicidial_did_log have all the records from the system setup till now, but vicidial_closer_log have oldest record from 01:45 at 1.09.2012 . I have nightly backups of the percona mysql database made with innobackupex and I see there are plenty of records before 01:45 at 1.09.2012.
I couldn't find anything outside vicidial that could cause part of this table to be deleted and unfortunately there is nothing about this problem in the mysql binary log that I have.
Is it possible this table to be truncated from some of the vicidial cron jobs or in some way via the web interface (there are several people except me with admin accounts) ?
If you know about anything from the vicidial installation that could cause this , please let me know.

perhaps you had no closer entries and thus the closer log was empty until you learned how to use features that created log entries in the closer log.

you danced around with discussion of backups etc, but did not state clearly that you have a record of an entry in that log file specifically that is actually missing (in a backup or otherwise). This leads me to believe that there is nothing "wrong" and there merely were no entries in that log for that period.

unless you have such records.

then come our next question: how did you install your system? I note you are on ubuntu 10.04lts, which is not an .iso installed system. please post your installation link (to the instructions you used) as this may be related to your problem (if you have a problem, LOL). Of note: If your system was still "under construction" during that period, there may have been simple data loss (as most scratch installations do endure a few days or weeks of 'roughness' before being zeroed in on smooth operations).
