Scratch Install

DO I need to follow step by step as put out in the scratch install? or I can just install the modules as I seem fit. Example can install say asterisk first then followed by mysql or pearl etc. I mean the phases as it is in the scratch install.

Yes you can do that but make sure that all the require files is install... Or follow the scratch installations so that you willl not missed something.
