I would need to see some Real Asterisk CLI output of a call hanging up but not really to know what was going on.

Ok, with the AGI output to STDERR or both right? Do you need to see it with AGI DEBUG?

I did figure out the agi output setting thing that you mentioned before

No need for Asterisk AGI Debug.

Well, ran a test with multi-agents (couldn't get the call stacking to work with myself only testing). I'm getting a loop detected error on server2, and got one instance of "Got SIP response 481 "Call Leg/Transaction Does Not Exist"" on server1. Had 1st server set to 5 max_vicidial_channels. Posting URLs to output files as it's too large to post on the forum

Server1

Server2

http://dialadmin.ahm-inc.com/vicidial/A ... apture.txt

Thanks so much for your continued help with this.

The agioutput setting for your server needs to be on STDERR or BOTH, then repost the output.

You need to attach to the first Asterisk process, not "asterisk -r"

Thanks Matt. I'll do that. I just figured out you can do that with screen...Do you know how to exit screen without killing the process?

To detach from a screen:

"Ctrl a" let go, then press "d"

After looking at the output I cannot see anything wrong. Calls seem to be overflowing to the other server just fine.

Well, yeah they are. The issue is that a lot of calls aren't disconnecting on HANGUP from the agent and it's under a certain load or when there is more than one agent (Testing by myself doesn't ever cause the problem), and then agents will have two calls in their conference. I am going to upgrade the boxes as you've mentioned before to the latest 1.2 version....I appreciate your dedication to my issue and all your help thus far. We'll see if this helps the issue.

Thanks,
-Chad

Caused quite often by high server load or no timing device..

multi-server

Postby badboy2 » Mon Nov 19, 2007 6:19 pm

i got the same problem.. call hangups are delayed and the lead infos too but only on certail time / load. It does work. calls are being transfered. Its just the hangup is delayed and sometimes it waits for the whole answering machine message to finish before it hangs up. But sometime the lead infos are on time and it hangs up on time. i got the db server and web server on server1 and i simply pointed server2 to the db on server1. Both the servers have dual core procs and 2GB memory and sata drive. the load on server1 is 11-12 agents on auto recording. Could it be the server load? server1 got te120p digium card and server2 got openvox card (te110p compatible or wcte11xp driver compatible). the agents dont have a problem when on server1. when i relocated 3 agents to server2 i still got the same problem. hangups and lead info's are delayed sometimes. Sometimes it is ok and sometimes they are not. I will try to have a separate db and web server later. I will also try it when nobody is dialing later. I will post the results afterward. Thank you guys and more power to vicidial!

even if im the only one calling still the same. hangups and lead infos are delayed on server2. But on server1 everything is normal and fast. Any ideas why the hangup and infos are delayed? im setting up a separate db right now

multiserver

Postby badboy2 » Tue Nov 20, 2007 2:39 pm

Apparently I created conference and vicidial conference one for each server and it worked normally. Thanks for the reply. No more delayed hangups. hehe. chadahm I solved it by creating conference rooms one for each server. ex 8600001, serverip1 up to 8600039, serverip1
8600001, serverip2 up to 8600039, serverip2
8600051, serverip1 up to 8600200, serverip1
8600051, serverip2 up to 8600200, serverip2

That's awesome badboy2, I'm a little confused on your instruction though. You added the conferences in the admin panel?

I did notice there are no conferences added but vicidial conferences are added, all for the first server.

So quoting you, below:
8600001, serverip1 up to 8600039, serverip1
8600001, serverip2 up to 8600039, serverip2
8600051, serverip1 up to 8600200, serverip1
8600051, serverip2 up to 8600200, serverip2

It seems redundant (like you have all conferences setup for both servers). Can you please iterate if it was a vicidial conference or just a conference you added for each server?

I have vicidial conferences added but for just the one server 8600051 - 8600200 and no conferences added

Well, I went ahead and added duplicate conferences for all servers, still is happening. Being there isn't large server loads and that it could be the timing device, is there any known issues with x86_64 platforms and digium cards/drivers? That is the only thing I can think may be the problem.

yes it is on the admin control panel... for example....

conferences:
8600001, 192.168.1.1 up to 8600039, 192.168.1.1
8600001, 192.168.1.2 up to 8600039, 192.168.1.2

vicidial conferences:
8600051, 192.168.1.1 up to 8600200, 192.168.1.1
8600051, 192.168.1.2 up to 8600200, 192.168.1.2

where:
192.168.1.1 is the ip of the 1st vicidial-asterisk server
192.168.1.2 is the ip of the 2nd vicidial-asterisk server

multi server

Postby ricky2 » Wed Nov 28, 2007 2:09 am

Hi,

I got a stand alone vicidial-asterisk-mysql-apache all in one box and its working great. Im setting up a multi server load balancing. I have a few questions:

1. Does phones needs to register only to one server? Or the phones will register to the server that will use it?

ex: sip phoneA will register to serverA
sip phoneB will register to serverB
and serverA and serverB is on load balancing

thanks,

ricky

Correct, you only need to register a phone to one server and they will be able to take calls from anywhere if load balancing is set up properly.

Do you mean have 86000001 - 8600039 in the "Conferences" and then have 8600051 - 8600200 in "Vicidial Conferences"? Conference and Vicidial Conference entries for each server?

If that is the case, do you have a meetme setup in your extensions.conf for 8600001 - 8600039 ?

--yes(see scratch_install).

multiple entries for each server is for database(conferences & vicidial_conferences) entries only
