Audio Store & Music on Hold menu??

Postby shariq » Wed Apr 14, 2010 1:54 pm

In 2.2.0 rc4 i saw these 2 menus in admin menu i.e Audio store and music on hold, but in rc7 i did not find both of these menus.

Can anyone tell me that either this feature has been disabled in rc7 or adjusted in any other option / menu.

Thank You.

No, they exist in every 2.2.0 release if you have the central audio control enabled in system settings.

Audio File list not showing

Postby ajienolasco » Mon Apr 19, 2010 11:23 pm

I am using RC7 and have used older RC's of the 2.2.0 version. So far, I have seen really great improvements from the 2.0.5 version. I noticed, however, among other things, that the Audio file list is not showing properly. I can only get a white blank layer. Anyone able to fix this?

depending you how you installed Vicidial, your Linux distro and apache setup, you may need to follow these steps(or even modify them a bit) in order to get the Audio store working:

- SSH in
- vi /etc/apache2/default-server.conf, Add “Options Indexes” to
<Directory "/srv/www/htdocs"> section
- rcapache2 restart
- Admin → System Settings: (user/password 6666/1234)
“Central Sound Control” = 1
“Sounds web server”= 192.168.198.179
“Active Voicemail Server” = 192.168.198.179
“Allow Custom Dialplan Entries” = 1
- Admin → Audio Store (NOTICE: new web directory created) (you
don't need to do anything else on this page)
- SSH in
- /usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_audio_store_sync.pl --upload –debug

Audio File List now showing up

Postby ajienolasco » Thu Apr 22, 2010 1:54 am

I was able to make the audio file list show up by actually creating the folder using the folder name created by vicidial inside the html folder. The problem now is that the files that I am trying to upload into the audio store do not actually show up in the list. The only audio files that would show up are the ones I uploaded through webmin.

I setup my system from the VicidialNow 1.2 CD and upgraded to the 2.2.0 RC7 version.

is the folder writable by the apache user? (which might be 'wwwroot' or 'nobody' on your system)

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) Audio store and MOH are in the Admin menu. Configuration is in Admin->System Settings.
