Hi Guys,
How long does it usually take to install and configure Asterisk and ViciDial following scratch_install? Does it matter which Distro you are using (we have Debian and Slackware).

Going step by step with Slackware you can install install in about 8-10 hours if you read and follow all instructions.
It usually takes me about 5 hours to do a full install from scratch with testing.
I think it's easier to use Slackware, and the SCRATCH_INSTALL is written with Slackware in mind
