Hi I am trying to get speex working coz in speex i can do be ot changes (in codecs.conf)

My voip service provider says speex sounds better than gsm.
But in this forum gsm and g729 is said to be good.

I got 1mg link sym.. Can this be enough for 20 agents if used gsm?

ULAW sounds better than GSM too. But there are sometimes issues with Speex inside of meetme rooms. I would recommend trying GSM.

If you are on lan use ulaw for local channels . Speex has good sound quality compared to gsm but beware it takes much more cpu for transcoding compared to gsm ( even more than g729 ) Wont recommend on loaded server ..
