query regarding Large vicdial installation

Hi

i have implemented vicidial on 3 servers right now in follwing way

SERVER1
MYSQL/Apache/astguiclient

SERVER2
asterisk/ViCIDIAL

SERVER3
ASTERISK/VICIDIAL


there are some question which are hitting me now as per Load Balancing document hopperl script will only be on one asterisk/vicidial server
i was wondering if my asterisk/vicidial server which is running hopper script goes down my entires system will go for a toss no matter how many asterisk/vicdial server i have

i want to know whether i am right on this or not

What I have done in the past is actually have the hopper on several machines, but stagger when it runs on each, so that you will never completely loose the hopper filling up if a server goes down.

crontab would be something like this:

First server:
1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29,31,33,35,37,39,41,43,45,47,49,51,53,55,57,59 * * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_VDhopper.pl

Second server:
0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30,32,34,36,38,40,42,44,46,48,50,52,54,56,58 * * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_VDhopper.pl
