Is ViciDial plug and play for the Sangoma UT50 now or do the drivers have to be installed?

ViciDial 2.4-344a
Build: 111024-1234

Vicidial isn't plug n play for any type of trunking. That would be related to the installation method. Vicidial takes over after the installation and will work with any trunks previously (or later) installed.

So: Check in either the Vicibox or GoAutoDial boards, ask Kumba (Vicibox) or Gardo (GoAutoDial) this same question on one or both of those boards and you will likely get a more direct answer. 8-)

And remember to always post your installation method WITH your Vicidial version with build (kudos on posting the Vicidial version with build, by the way, good start!).

GoAutoDial supports the Sangoma USB timers out of the box.

3 simple steps to activate:

1. Login to your GoAutoDial server

# cd /usr/src/wanpipe-voicetime-1.0.11/
# make boot

2. Restart your server

# reboot

Need it for ViciDial, that file isn't already downloaded but when I get it and create the directory, open it, etc when I type make or make install I get "make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop." and when I try make WANPIPE_DIR=/usr/src
I get
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

...any help?

That only works with the GoAutoDial system. You can learn more about GoAutoDial here: http://goautodial.org.

If during the install process you said Yes to the Wanpipe Voicetime module then the module is installed and should be active. If not try issuing this command:

Code: Select all
modprobe wanpipe_voicetime

If that failed the module will need to be installed, but that is not that hard.

I inserted UT50
ran modprobe wanpipe_voicetime
Edited Zap_Mod = wanpipe_voicetime
Then I ran all the sangoma trouble shooting steps on their website and all the results are ok..

cat /proc/dahdi/1
Span 1: WANVTIME/1 "WANVTIME/1 (source: wanpipe_voicetime) 1" (MASTER)

dahdi show status
