ive been trying to find te vicidial translation for italian language

i found the translation files

/usr/src/astguiclient/trunk/translations/

I think I should update that. That's not what you should do.

Just copy the agc_fr and vicidial_fr directories to your webroot and go to vicidial_fr or agc_fr in your web browser and you are there.

--- all i see is the translations in text -- meaning in .txt format

no folders no nothing....


could someone give me some starters help

You should look in LANG_www

Before this make a backup of it

For agc_it copy context of this to agc directory (user)
and vicidial_it and this to vicidial (Admin)

Could you be a little more clear on the following procedures?

meaning where do i copy this info
how ect...

there are a directory called agc and vicidial

make a backup of agc and vicidial

copy content of agc_it to agc

copy content of vicidial_it to vicidial

it also shows two new buttons for english and italian...none of them work once pressed

everything is not translated into italian

Full translations are only done per release, or periodically at the request of a client because they are so time consuming. You can add(and translate) the TO_BE_TRANSLATED_2.4.txt phrases to the Italian translation files and run the build process to fully convert the current svn/trunk code to Italian if you want.

Hi Guys,

A real noob here. How do you exactly change the translation?

I can see the paths mentioned, but i dont know what exactly the things to do to make this happen.

This is a very very old thread, vicidial now has a new language method, if you are using a recent vicidial setup, you should find info very easily.
