New Lead status - ISSUE

Hi mflorell ,
I am using vicidial installed in centos with VERSION: 2.2.1-237 BUILD: 100510-2015.When i upload a list and dial the leads, i can see the "Status within the list" in the list .There it shows NEW LEAD status in called leads.
-So please clarify why dialer is disposing the calls as NEW LEAD in called status.
-what is the criteria for this New Lead status and what is the difference between New Lead status in called status and Not called status.

Note: downloaded the list and checked , every lead has the correct phone numbers in phone number field.

1) Please post your installation method (OS is nice, but this problem screams "bad install" to me ...).

2) There should never be a "NEW" lead in "Called".
