The connection was reset

Postby Travis Lambert » Thu Apr 26, 2012 4:28 pm

Vicidial 1.3 ISO, and Tried GoAutoDial 2.1ce, Dual Core 64 bit processor, 500 HDD, No special Hardware, CentOS5.4

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Ok Tried switch dialer to the old 1.3 ISO, and I can see the external IP address fine. Just inside Inside my network cant not access the static IP from the inside.

Checked Router, and even call AT&T, they say that everything is ok.
I can ping the gateway, the server, etc. but the page times out when you access the VICIDIAL Admin or Agent.

I have tried GoAutoDial, same problem, phones will register from outside network end, but still not able to access the Vicidial Interface with out the page timing out.

Checked Router Settings, maybe its somewere in the IPTables.
I also have disabled IPTables.

Whilliam any ideas on which direction I should take. Thanks alot

You'll need to describe your network map in detail. And consider that the internal agents should be accessing the server on the INTERNAL IP address. If your server does not have both an internal IP and an external IP ... put another network card in your server and set up one external (that does not go through a router, direct to the internet with an ISP provided IP address and NOT connected in any way to your local network!) and one internal that is connected to your internal network for agents to directly access the server without interference from your router. The only time the agents use the router is to get to the WEB, not the Vicidial box.

Of course, if you cannot have two network cards (or you do not have two IP addresses from your ISP), you can use a private IP for your Vicidial server just like you do for all the other workstations. This requires port forwarding through your router in some cases, but not all.
