Custom Fields not being displayed

VERSION: 2.4-309a
BUILD: 110430-1642

Admin > System Settings > Enable Custom List Fields: 1
Users > MyUser > Custom Fields Modify: 1

I went to Custom fields defined for this list: 0 and create a simple text custom field.
Custom fields defined for this list: 1 and I verified in phpAdmin that the table was created.

When I go to Lists > Search for a Lead and bring up a lead in the list the Custom Fields for this Lead is blank.
When I log in to the Agent interface and dial that lead the Custom Fields Form is blank.

(The list is 997) I even manually inserted an entry in the custom_997 table for a lead but everything still appears blank.

Please advise.

There are a few bugs in earlier versions. You are running a version that is now over a year old. I would recommend upgrading to 2.4RC1 or the most recent svn/trunk.
