Filtering UNKNOWN or Blocked CallerID

Hi guys,

I searched the forum pretty thoroughly and could not find what I was looking for.

Is there a way to add UNKNOWN or Anonymous inbound calls to the Filter Phone Groups? I can't seem to make that work at present.

Thanks,
Bill

You'll need to find the actual callerid NUMBER being passed. Oddly enough, this can be a word and is often "Restricted". But you'll need to check the callerid channel variable to find out what it really is on an inbound call with callerid blocked through your carrier.

William, I have that but I cannot add words to the Filter Phone Group. It rejects non numerical entries.

Add a new issue to the Issue Tracker with a request to allow alphanumeric characters and we will look into it. Should be a fairly simple patch.

I note that you did not mention the checking of the actual callerid number being passed ... you will need this information.
We did it manually in the DB of course, as you cannot pass text ...
