ViciBox_Redux.x86_64-3.1.15 NEW INSTALL

Hi all,

This is my first post, since i have no issues with vicidial till now.

I have a HP PROLIANT DL380 G5 2x XEON E5450 QUAD-CORE 16GB MEMORY 8x 300GB 10K HDD, i just recently installed ViciBox_Redux.x86_64-3.1.15, version of vicidial VERSION: 2.6-375a.

I dont know if i did something wrong in the installation process, but, when i reboot the system, asterisk dont start at boot, and i get this message when i want to access to the CLI: "Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk.ctl exist?) "

I need to put, asterisk, to start asterisk and then enter to the CLI.

What should i do to start asterisk automatically?

There are some issues with the repositories and I believe Dahdi may be causing asterisk not to be able to start. You may try your install again and say "no" to the "update the OS" question and skip the "zypper up" and "zypper restore" as a test to see if this is your issue. Also, Kumba has posted some information on this topic recently as well.

Excellent first post, but always remember to include your Build (vicidial version x.x-xxx BUILD xxxxxx). It makes a difference sometimes and is always required.

Do you have Kumbas post right now?, the thing is that i need to know how to modify something (if i can), to load asterisk when i start my server.

This is because i am really advanced on the vicidial config, like phones, users, campaings, etc..., and it would be a lot of time wasted if i start again dont you think?

Well, i reinstalled and worked fine! without update, but now, i have:

VERSION: 2.2.1-237
BUILD: 100510-2015

Is this a stable version? or i should update this one?

i will use this server for 50 seats..

I read last kumbas post and installed the vicibox server 64 bits preloaded, and now i have what i needed, a functionally and stable vicidial.

VERSION: 2.6-375a
BUILD: 120831-1523
