From everything I have figured out about this message, it is caused by an RTP packet being shorter than the header for the RTP packet says it should be. This is quite possibly a networking problem or a problem with a SIP device messing up. Unfortunately like many error messages in Asterisk, this one does not provide enough information to figure out what is generating it. About all you can do is trial and error to narrow it down.

Yes, exactly ...and until now im still searching on it why this rtcp has mess up ....
actualy our current starting rtp in server is from 3000 until 31000 (default settings under /etc/asterisk/rtp.conf)
and the sip phone listening rtp local port starting from 8000, \
do we need to set them both the same starting rtp port?
coz we dont want our network will experience this permanently.
and because of this rtcp read too short there are so many calls has been cancel..i wonder why..
any help?
