Goautodial
VERSION: 2.4-309a
BUILD: 110430-1642

Hi Everybody I am a newbie with goautodial,
I installed goautodial, created a campaign, created an agent, got connected with the softphone, get the ring and answer. But when I try to call after exactly 10 second trying to connect I get this message:
Call Rejected: CONGESTION Cause: 0 - Unspecified.

I went to Asterisk Cli and typed "sip show peers" and everything is ok, i get connected with my carrier and with my sip phone. What am I doing wrong here?

I have checked many times the system settings, carrier, server and everything seems ok. For some strange reason this message keeps coming up and I cant make the call.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks (I really need help here)

Usually congestion messages are related to your carrier.

Hi Acidshock,
Thanks for your answer. The carrier is not a problem, i was using vicidial redux and everything works fine, and i saw autodial and wanted to use it,it has a much easier interface for the agents and seems to me more complete. i'm using the same carrier and dialplan, which seems to work fine for vicidial, but not for goautodial. I can't figure out what is wrong with it...

Unable to write frame to channel is often a firewall issue. do you have a firewall on?

Your first line of code is an error. We need to see what happened before the unable to write line. May be a good idea to try sip debug and / or agi debug to see if there is a bad command in there somewhere.

Also a note stating exactly what you do to cause this error (trying to make a call is vague ... it could actually be used to describe you telling your secretary to bring your iPhone to your desk, LOL, try to be Technical ...).

Thank you William for your reply. i was not trying to be cryptic, but my english is not so good as it might seem, especially on technical issues.
I'm going back to my Vicibox. I really like Goautodial thou, although every time i changed something i got a diferent error message. I tried to install it again, now i have diferent issue messages appearing, so I will try to install when i'll have a little bit more time and patience, cause to me seems more complete and simple than vicidial.

Thanx everybody for the help

get yourself a nice VMware installation for these practices. Then you will have a "virtual" playground and no deadline. It'll only be able to handle one phone call, but that's fine for your practice box anyway.

VMWare is ... free. And it installs in your windows desktop machine just like any other application. But it can then be used to build an unlimited number of Linux virtual machines which cause no CPU usage unless they are running (in other words: only when you want to test them do they impact your operations ...). Very useful.

We also like vSphere, but that requires a dedicated machine.

I actually use VmWare for some practices of this kind William, but I saw in forums that was highly recomended not to install autodial on a virtual machine, so I didn't even try it.

Now i will install it so i can "disturb" you and the other kind guys of this forum with some silly questions. Why you're saying that it will be only able to handle one phone call, it is not reachable from the other seats to test it directly from the agents?

Thank you again

You could use Virtualbox too, its also free (like real free) and works very nicely. Of course VMware is like **THE sh*t** when it comes to virtualization.

What I find intriguing is that the one throwing off the error es meetme, to even app_dial. Must be that the Meet Me room crashes. This is kinda' typical when there are timing problems (timimg as in ztdummy). Honestly I haven't looked too much into detail with this kind of problems recently. I did have this (with another Asterisk implementation, no at all Vici), but I just can't remember what to look for.
