Host names instead of IP addresses?

Hello. Is it possible / advisable to fill with host names wherever vicidial asks for an IP address? (e.g. in servers, phones, conferences definitions)

yes its possible i belive.
if you able to resolve the DNS Names

If you plan on doing any load balancing between VICIDIAL servers you have to use IP addresses for the server_ip field, other than that hostnames should be possible.
