I am trying to figure out how to make my dialer rollover to a external number.

let me explain

Call comes in to the closing campaign,
no one is there to take the call, or they are all busy
i want to then send it to the closing department via a phone number

thank you.

p.s. i have read the manual, but there is some confusion on how to do this this way, just how to send it to other ingroups and and the dids that i have set on the computer

No Agents No Queueing - If this field is set to Y or NO_PAUSED then no calls will be put into the queue for this in-group if there are no agents logged in and the calls will go to the No Agent No Queue Action. The NO_PAUSED option will also not send the callers into the queue if there are only paused agents in the in-group. Default is N. In an AGENTDIRECT in-group, setting this to AGENTVMAIL will select the User voicemail ID to use. You can also put AGENTEXT in this field if it is set to EXTENSION and the system will look up the user custom five field and send the call to that dialplan number.

No Agent No Queue Action - If No Agent No Queue is enabled, then this field defines where the call will go if there are no agents in the In-Group. Default is MESSAGE, this plays the sound files in the Action Value field and then hangs up.

Set the action to EXTENSION, then put the extension in and remember to include the dial prefix and dial code (ie: 918885551212) and leave the context default.

Thank you so much William, once again you really show what you are talking about. I had everything set up the way it was suppose to but i was a little messed up on my dial prefix, so i added one number from the dial plan, as you instructed on the last line, and everything work as it was suppose to

thank you so much.

but it does feel good to know that i did everything else right.

I would love to, and i would, but i the thing is i know a lot, but i am scared to give people he wrong information. In the two years of messing with VICIDIAL there is not much i have not did with it. But i dont want to give people the wrong information. Maybe i need to not worry about it, because i have been running a working platform for years now.

Always preface your Opinion with "I think". Saves a lot of aggravation. :) Anyone who relies on free information must always remember that the software is not the only thing with no warranty expressed or implied. LOL

And you will be surprised how much you learn while doing it. Your employer (or you?) will get that reward as well. :) Works wonders.
