Hello,
First of all I'm new to forums in common, so i don't know whether its the right place to post this topic please move it or delete it if its in the wrong place.
I've just started my career in a call center and I'm totally new to VICIDIAL. Here they are using vicibox server at moment i only know how to load, recycle leads and view reports view, but i really like to learn on how to install and configure vicidial.

Thanks in advance..

1) Moved topic to Support board

2) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

3) Newbie Suggestions/help:

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

4) You'll be starting with the Manager's Manual. Once you've covered all those topics, you'll have answers to your questions above, but likely have more. LOL

5) Do not use "lead recycling" in Vicidial. It can cause newbies to have serious issues (get fired kind of issues ...). Also, this feature has been abandoned in favor of merely resetting each list (the entire list at a time) for redialing the list and all leads in it based on their status. Instead of one lead at a time, which is a bit micromanaging and since the feature is broken from many viewpoints ... it's best to just not use it for the first year or so. Then experiment "Just a Bit" for a little while. Which is when you'll see how broken it is and probably ignore it like the rest of us.

6) Happy Reading 8-)
