System Release Calls

Dears,

I have the Version: 2.4b0.5 of goautodial installed on my system.

I need to understand that how does Vicidial calculate "System Release Calls". I have my agents on Manual Dialing and I am pulling the "outbound summary interval report" from the system. The "System release calls" needs to be too HIGH even when the agents are dialing manually.

To cross check, I have pulled out the "outbound calling report" and that seems to be more authentic. We don't see too many system dispositions there, thus it means that there are other variables that come into play when the dialer calculates "system release calls" and they may not be appearing in the outbound calling report under system dispositions.

Please if anyone can help, I'll really appreciate.

Cheers,

1) Welcome back to the Party! 8-)

2) You've obviously been here a while, so I'll remind you of our newbie suggestions in case you have forgotten:

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) Consider upgrading if you are not at version 2.4 (we are presently using 2.6 in all our new client boxes, it's quite stable even if it has not been released!)

4) You should try some testing in a controlled test campaign. Find out how a system release call is calculated by making 15 calls to your own cell phone (and perhaps a few to a number you know is disconnected ...) and treated specific calls in certain ways. VM/No Answer/Answer but hang up ... etc. Then you will have an idea of what causes which result in the report.

5) If you want more information, you should list the specific URL and then the section/field of the data you are questioning on each report. You may even perform a google search on that specific technical information and find a surprise that someone else has asked /answered this question before. If not, of course, post it here and the question/answer will then be available for the next guy when he looks! :)

I am also facing same issues. but you have to following the vicidial_list table for better understanding.. most of the time i have found when dialer dial numbers, some time call disconnected or no answer or go answering machine.. so base on your compaing setting it will show you on report. if you have any sample then share it here. i will more than happy to help you. .

Thanks
