vicidial restore

VERSION: 2.6-395a and asterisk 1.6 on suse 12.1
I have an old vicidial 2.2 database I am trying to restore into the gui (bring up the campaigns etc).
I could never get the 2.2 to 2.4 upgrade to work so I just transferred the data to a new 2.6 installation.
Is there a way to restore all of the permissions. links and campaign data?

The only way to restore is to run all of the database updates from the version you were on to the one you are upgrading to.

that's a yes! The UPGRADE document supplied by the vicidial group shows the proper method for a full upgrade ... in your case, you don't need to upgrade the vicidial scripts, but only the database. And the UPGRADE document contains precise steps to accomplish this. You need only upgrade the mysql data, one stage at a time, from the version IT is to the version your VICIDIAL is and it will "just start workin" after the reboot. Oh: and you'll likely need to run the ip update script (manually!) because the old server likely had a different IP)

and you may also need to run the recording link IP update script as well. that's a helpful tool.
