recordings on demand from the admin screen

I have another question, is there a way you can do recordings on demand from the vicidial admin screen. I am hoping that i can do that without having to do recordings with the softphone...

Agents can push the recording button from the agent screen.

Admins can configure recordings in many different areas including, but not limited to, InGroups and Campaigns. None of these is a "start recording this call right now", but are "record calls in this category". Are you looking for a "record" button to initiate the recording of a call as an administrator while watching the realtime screen?

Yes, that is what i would like to do william, is to be able to record some how from the real time screen where it will drop the recordings into the spool file. I dont want to record the agents all the time, just when i need to, for training.

on demand is presently handled from the agent screen. turning on recording "for a while, for training" could still be handled by changing the campaign recording settings.

it would probably not be particularly difficult to create a "record this call" button for the realtime screen, but unless you really want to pick and choose specific calls already in progress, it is much easier just to change the campaign settings and then change them back after you've captured a few recordings. or any of the other categories of call routing that can be set to record. recording is in Many Places. LOL

it would certainly make a great feature request (by putting in a Vicidial Issue Tracker Feature Request) and/or a project for The Vicidial Group or PoundTeam Incorporated as well. 8-)
