simultaneous call limit reached vicidial

Hi, I recently installed vicidial express with ViciBox.i686-4.0.3.iso. I have a small call center with 4 agents. My VOIP/SIPP provider allows up to 30 calls per line. I am getting the following errors as calls are being placed:
"simultaneous call limit reached" and does not connect the a live call
"call limit reached" and does not connect the a live call
I do get connected to live people but my error to connection rate is about 60:40 with more errors than connections.
Below is my campaign dial configuration. Any suggestion as to how I can avoid the errors are welcome. I do think the issue is in Vicidial rather than me telco provider.

your provider is rejecting the calls. your vicidial settings cannot stop that from happening unless you reduce the dialer to request less channels. but it sounds to me like you do NOT have 30 calls per line outbound.
also: with 4 agents, you should be at ratio, not adapt.

Hi
Try reducing you'd calls per second. Admin -> servers and lower max calls per second to 5 or less and see if this fixes it.
We had this issue with a carrier. Although we had 300 channels we were limited to 10 cps and anything over that we would see errors on!

true. and since vicidial defaults to 200 cps ... bringing it down to ONE cps is the safest way to go until you have at least 10 agents anyway.

oops ... 20 (trigger happy typing fingers, got an extra zero!)
honestly I think 1 or 4 would be much more appropriate. anyone who wants/needs more than that will be aware of it and capable of choosing a more appropriate number.

The default on new installations has been 5 for servers and 10 for the FILL process for quite a while now, just take a look at the MySQL_AST_CREATE_tables.sql file. If you are upgrading an older system it's not going to change the default though.

That's good to hear. I don't actually install very often myself recently, so I am just out-of-touch. But I still do the training and have not noticed a new number in the CPS field (perhaps I'm not as attentive as I used to be ... LOL).

Hi Folks,
I have tried the recommendations to change from ADAPT TAPERED to RATIO and reduce the maximum number of calls from 5 to 2 cps. I'll let you know how I get on.

I am a beginner in VICIDIAL,
I installed GOAUTODIAL CE 2.0 under DELL Intel X3430@2.40GHz server (R) Xeon (R) CPU and 6G ram.
VERSION: 2.4-309a of VICIDIAL.
the Auto Dial Limit :1000
Max FILL Calls per Second: 200
BUt the calls ringing simultaneous are limited in 94 calls.
Can anyone suggest me a solution for simultaneous 150 calls.

Ive had this issue before, Have you checked the software config of your phones? If you are using soft phones OR hard phones. Simultaneous call Limit is controlled by your PBX.
In the PBX software, under - Extensions.
check the extension thats experiencing the limit.
And change the value to '10' - I wouldnt reccomend changing it to 'No Limit' but if you do remember to set it to a reasonable amount.
Please be cautious as this could potentially cause a threat to your system. (hacker exposing the 'no limit' facility on phones)
Once you have selected a maximum number, please select and submit.
Let us know how you get on...

Are the telephone numbers you are trying to ring in service??
Have you configured the phones correctly with the correct registrar?

It would appear that the initiated call isnt reaching its destination.
Do you have any Firewalls, NAT devices, Session Border Controllers - because these will affect the transmission of packets.

This is ALWAYS a firewall issue (or a "lost contact issue" from dead internet or remote server). If you are not presently being attacked by China, you have a firewall. As such (based on your statement that you don't have a firewall), I'll be assuming that you are also NATting. So let's try it from this approach ...
ifconfig and block out the last two numbers in your ip address, only show the first two digits (ie: 192.168.xxx.xxx blocking out the last two).
iptables-save and tell me how many lines of output ... Or you can block out any IPaddresses in there as well and post some of the results.
Another solution would be a nice fresh installation of Vicibox 4.0.X which installs a decent firewall that is easily managed (must be locked down before production use, but should get you going).
If you have a private IP (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x) you'll likely need to put an externip value in your sip.conf (the external IP address of that router you don't have).

I had a saturation in the bandwidth of the Internet, I decreased traffic and here I do not have the error message.
