delay between connecting the call and agent hearing

Hello all!
We have installed a vicidial server using the preload iso.(VERSION: 2.6-394a, BUILD: 130130-1207)
Now we have started to test the coniguration and on predictvie dialing we are seeing a problem where the customer is being called then after som 10 seconds delay the agent is able to hear the customer.
Ofcourse not all the customers are patient enough to keep the line open so long. Any solution or idea where to start investigating this issue?
the other issue we are facing is that the server calls the customer and then hangup the call before even the call is directed to an agent.
I am greatfull if you can advise a solution or a method to trouble shoot this issue.
