Vicidial set on the server but not showing the browser page

Hi,
I am attempting to install vicidial express, and here is my problem:
- My version is the latest one available
- i am installing on a remote server via KVM session, it is a QuadCore 2+Ghz processor with 8GB RAM and 2x160 sata hard drives with RAID 1.
- The installation was running smoothly all the way till the end, i installed from the Standard version, installed the OS (openSUSE) and vicidial express, updated everything and it all went fine
At the end it asked me for a local IP for vicidial and i appointed 127.0.0.1, that might have been a mistake, i didnt really know what to put there.
Now when i go to the IP address given by the server host, using the browser, it takes some time but at the end it DOES NOT give me the vicidial welcoming page as expected.
It looks like there is no such a page on that IP.
Is there some port i should add or does anybody have a clue in regards to this.

yes 127.0.0.1 was a mistake
you should give your server the ipnumber provided by your hostingprovider.
and secure your server.

it wasn't asking for a "local" ip as in "not a public ip". it was asking for the ip of this server (be that a private IP or a public ip).
please post what you mean by "at the end" ... as in, what was the prompt? it may be possible to run the admin_update_server_ip script and resolve your issue (after a reboot).

Hi, thank you for the help, much appreciated.
Yes, i suppose that was the problem. I was confused with this request at the end.
At the end means after i passed the entire installation manual succesfully, installed and configured open
SUSE, i tested the network by pinging google, installed vicidial express and at the end of installing vicidial it asked me to appoint an ip address for vicidial, that question is not covered in the manual, so i just got confused and appointed this 127.... as it usually stands for "self", probably it will work with the servers public ip instead.
I wonder now where should i go tochange this, should i reinstall vicidial or is it possible just to change this ip in YAST or from the command line.

when you log in to the console (via keyboard or ssh remotely), there is a splash screen. Read this screen and follow the directions as if you had "changed" the IP from the wrong one you input to the one you actually want it to be.
It does not hurt to run this script several times with lots of IPs, as long as the "NEW" ip in each situation is actually an IP of a network interface presently on the server. If the server has had 8 different IPs in the last few weeks, running it once for each is fine. Even if you run it with IPs it has never had, that won't hurt.
And when done, reboot!
check your success with "screen -list" which should have 8 or more screens running after a reboot.

Sorry, to make it clear, i mean when i type the server ip address in the browser, like the last step in the manual, that does not work. It reports that the webpage might be temporarily down or it may moved to a new web address
Error 103 (ERR_CONNECTION_ABORTED)

Hi, thank you for all the help.
I found vicibox express is to unreliable and turn onto manual install.
Hopefully that will get me where i want to be.
