Hi,

this is the one you want to use for now: asterisk-1.8.21.0-vici-beta found here http://download.vicidial.com/beta-apps/

Thanks for that. I have a box running Asterisk 1.8.21.0 now, but not the vici-beta, it is a plain asterisk download. On Ubuntu 12 .04 scratch installation, Astguioclient SVN version 2.8x (sorry forget the exact version and build now). All is working well so far. One thing was it needed change in extensions-vicidial.conf, where '|' is still being used to generate the dialplan entries rather than ','.

Has anyone used the MariaDB drop in replacement for MySQL? I am thinking of doing one installation on Slack 14 64 bit.

Thanks

You know, the reason its called -vici- is because it was patched to give functions to vicidial it expects to get from asterisk,
you will break some functionality if you do not use the patched asterisk version.

I recommend you to look at the patch and decide if you want to patch your 1.8.21.0 version or not
(only see one for asterisk 1.8 so I guess its the only one so far: netboarder-cpd-1.8.patch http://download.vicidial.com/asterisk-p ... -1.8.patch)

Hi,

With the vanialla asterisk version 1.8.21.0,

I have tested the routing extensions one after the other, but do not have multi server here for tests. I do see an weird error with some SIP tests. In my dialplan , I used the campaign Dial Prefix to send calls to other internal phones. I do have an external IAX2 carrier for origination and termination. The error is that ratio or adapt methods in campaigns using routing extension 8365 or 8368 are not transferring the calls to agent, though the internal SIP phone is called and answered (simulation of a customer call). Dial(IAX2/${exten},,To) works, whether to an internal phone or a carrier, which is why I did not catch the error initially. I do have the 'o' flag in dial statement. The press-1 or no-agent survey campaigns run fine, with or without AMD, as do inbounds, closers and inbound manual. I cannot use the dial prefix to call a LOCAL channel either, though this works for other routing extensions and for Manual calls.

The one difference I am seeing is that the agi-VDAD_ALL-outbound.agi has all tx=> and no rx=> in agi debug in cli in the cases where call is not transferrred.

I will post output in detail in a couple of days.

Thanks and regards,
devafree

I had a lot of problems getting Asterisk 1.8.x to work well with vicidial. At the end we just went back to the 1.4.x version which works fine and with less or no issues.
So, just to let you know, you might get into various unexpected issues using this configuration such as silent calls, predicitive dialer errors etc.
I did not try the vici version with the patch though, it might work fine.

milan:
Test the vici patched version of 1.8 and post about the issues here,
we all would like to get rid of the bugs that might come with 1.8, so if you post them here for us to solve it would be great!
I've been using 1.8 quite a while now but have not had any problems yet.

We now have dozens of servers running Asterisk 1.8 for various clients. We are either using 1.8.21 or 1.8.23, and both appear to be very stable. We haven't had any problems on these systems, which is why we switched to using Asterisk 1.8 by default on the new Vicibox releases.
