I have a 6 server cluster running vicidial and I am trying to add a 7th server, but I am running into IAX2 problems (I think). servers 1 through 5 are vicibox v.3.1.15 but have been SVN upgraded to 1998. 6 is Vicibox v.4.0.3 SVN 1998 and works fine. My database server is running 8 intel enterprise ssd's on a MegaRaid 9280 4i4e with fastpath in Raid 10.

Load balancing works fine on all the other servers. But the new server I added yesterday the calls never transfer to the agents on the other servers.
I checked all the network configs and cannot find anything suspicious.

90vici4 has always shown as UNKNOWN but works fine.. The server having issues is 90agent6.

I've checked all the lan cards each server has 2 one for private and one for public.. The public interfaces all have the same settings. Disabling the firewall completely using 'SuSEfirewall2 stop' does not change anything...

I'm stumped... I could easily just reformat the machine and start from scratch but that to me is like admitting defeat plus doesn't teach me anything.

Oh yea an yes on the new machine I told it to install 1998 on the advanced vicibox-install screen.

is there a "server" in "admin"->"servers" for 90vici6? If not ... it did not successfully cluster. You could try installing it again and see if you have more luck on run #2. If it's there, compare the server entry to the others.

I'd also like to hear a bit more affirmative detail other than "never transfers calls" and perhaps some cli output.

i have clients who say their agents don't get the calls when actually they've never logged in because the server is down. And anything from there on. so ... is it making calls? does it have the correct DB, shared with the others? or did you accidentally install a standalone server? LOL

Not sure what the problem was but it was definitely in the server. I decided not to waste time and just copied the hard drives from 10.10.0.85 to an image and restored that image to 10.10.0.86 and made the appropriate config changes to astguiclient.conf and sip.conf and set the network settings and its been working fine now for the last week.

And to answer your questions on if the server clustered correctly yes all the settings appeared in the vicidial admin. the only change i did from my normal install routine is I told the installer which SVN verision to download as I did not have time to wait for the new mysql schema changes to happen in vicidial_list. It had about 10 million leads in it at that time.
