Agents PC load

Hello.

We are running a proxy server with 2 E1s for data and 1 E1 on our dialer. My question is "can the load of the agents pc affects voice quality"? They have many tools running, (ex. outlook, excel, word, notepad,shared folders on AD, time management software that connects to a server locally for their logs) We are using softphones.

Any advice would be great!

I have seen call quality degradation with low memory on agent PC's. I have also seen different softphones require more memory then I think is necessary. We have been using the softphone qutecom to help fix those issues.

Yes, lack of local PC resources can affect voice quality.
