Problem using X-Pro for SIP Listen & Barge

Postby dev_4901 » Fri Mar 02, 2007 4:01 pm

Hi,

Have v2.02 installed here with asterisk- 1.2.14.

When I try to Listen or Barge (SIP), I get a message stating that "Firefox can not open the link as the protocol (SIP) is not associated with any program".

Read a previous posting by Enjay about this, but could not solve the issue.

Plz advice.

If your softphone registers sip: links in windows while setup.. only than directly clicking it will work . just hover ur mouse over listen button and see at taskbar of browser it will show u conference number its pointing to ( like sip:6800052@blablaip .. then u can directly type that number in ur softphone and listen to call .

Hi,

Have installed X-Pro on my machine, and YES it does show the conference number like 68600051@IP_SERVER in the taskbar of FIREFOX on moving the mouse over the link LISTEN. But upon clicking on it, I cant listen/barge the agent, instead I get the mentioned error.

Plz advice.

about:config
Right Click Add New String Value
Name the String: network.protocol-handler.app.sip
Provide the value: /usr/bin/xtensoftphone (for linux if you put xten into /usr/bin)
Otherwise provide the value of the location of the softphone, for example c:\program files\xten\x-lite.exe.

In linux if you have the softphone open it will open a new softphone, so your double reg'd. Cant remember if windows does the same thing or not.
