Issues after migration and upgrade

Postby saulortega » Tue Jan 28, 2014 8:57 am

Hello.

I have migrated and upgraded to a new server from 2.6 to 2.8

The old server was installed from Vicibox 4.0.3

I did a backup with backup.pl --db-only.

In the new server, I installed Vicibox 5.0.3, I deleted the database, and restore the one of the old server with mysqldump. Then I ran the upgrade_2.8.sql into database.

The new server is working fine, but when I access to a campaign, look:

ALL is blank.

I have not wanted to do any change into campaign for fear of damaging something. :(

It occurs only with the campaigns.

It looks like you need to run the upgrade_2.6.sql and upgrade_2.8.sql scripts located in the extras directory in the source code folder.

Both scripts?

I ran upgrade_2.8.sql after retore the database.

It is really necessary and safe to run upgrade_2.6.sql now?

Yes, run the 2.6 script and 2.8 script again.

There is a note in the UPGRADE file to check the DB schema versions. I'm sure your 2.6 DB schema wasn't at the required number before you ran the 2.8 SQL script. I hope you have backups in case this goes wrong!
