This is only for the Asterisk/VICIDIAL server, not for agents computers.

The issue is with Asterisk not VICIDIAL. Having a GUI with Xwindows open messes up the fast processing of VOIP and call control in Asterisk because Xwindows takes priority over the CPU.

Technically you could run Xwindows while running Asterisk on the same server, but don't be suprised if you have audio problems and call control delays.
