Hello all experts.
These are the details:
server: IBM System x3650 M4
installation type: vicibox5.0.3 preload iso
all in one server(web,database,asterisk)
number of agents: 20

I got a problem using amfeltec, before installation begin, I inserted the amfeltec device to a pcie port.
Insert the cd containing the vicibox5.0.3 preload iso and begin installation.
During installation amfeltec device was recognized but after installation all are okay except when executing "dahdi_tool" amfeltec not found under Dahdi Telephony Interfaces.

Do we have anyone here experience the same issue. Can I ask some ideas from you guys.
Thanks.

1) You must always list your Vicidial Version with Build. (You did list your installer version, but that Vicibox installer can install ANY version of Vicidial! LOL).

2) AFAIK: Amfeltec does not create a dahdi device. It makes pci extenders, but not telephony cards. Thus it would have no direct bearing on dahdi.

3) There is no need for telephony card usage with Vicidial unless you intent to connect to an E1/T1 interface. If you are using SIP VOIP carriers for your call traffic, you do not need any extra hardware related to telephony. Just internet and Vicibox's .iso.

4) If you have a telephony card attached to an amfeltec device and the telephony card is not recognized, there is a possibility that your amfeltec device requires special drivers and that they are only available for Windows and not for OpenSuSE. You could take a shot at Goautodial (which installs CentOS instead of OpenSuSE) and hope for the best. But my advice is to avoid such things as best you can. Stock systems are much better.

In the end, the question is: WHY are you trying to use an amfeltec device in the first place? :)
