International 3-Way Transfer issue

Hi everyone,

I've run into an issue regarding dialling into one country (U.A.E., International code 971) and then doing a 3-way transfer into another country (In this case Spain, International code 34). When I attempt this, Vicidial is pre-pending the leads international dial prefix to the preset and mangling the number. So for example:

#1 I dial +971XXXXXXX (U.A.E. Lead)
#2 I park customer dial and transfer to +34XXXXXXXX (Spanish Call Centre)
#3 Vicidial attempts to transfer to +97134XXXXXXXX

I can bypass the issue with some wizardy in the carrier dialplan and a custom 3-way transfer number in the campaign settings. However I am wondering if this is a bug?

I am at a loss to find anything wrong in the dialplans or the campaign settings. I have therefore submitted a bug report (#786).

We usually recommend using the Dial Override option and crafting the dial string yourself. We have clients using the Agent API to do what it is that you are describing.

Alright, that does get round the problem and greatly simplifies my dialplans. I do think it would be clearer and easier to manage if there was a consistent way of specifying the phone code in the transfer presets though. Prepending the leads phone code seems wrong to me.
