Monitor loses connection after OS selection

When I boot up my Vicibox server my monitor shows the initial OS selection screen, but right after selection it seems like my monitor loses connection (probably the display is not supported by my server config). If I attach it to another monitor I have it works perfect and I can see through all the way through boot-up and get to command line.

Does anyone know of any way to configure the monitor, or has experienced something similar?

Please always remember to post your Vicidial Version with Build. Excellent posting the rest, of course, but that is the single most important piece of information in most cases.

Your boot line will often contain a vga monitor resolution option. There have been several posts covering how to deal with it. We've also had a few systems where we just had to try all the available options, starting with the lowest resolution and working our way up until we get lucky.

It can be edited in the /boot/grub/menu.lst or by hitting "e" and editing it manually (which has the added benefit of NOT saving while being able to quickly try every option without actually waiting for a full boot each time).

That being said: We never log directly in on the console unless there is something wrong with the server. Use PuTTY instead.
