Need answers for Updating Vicidial. I'm a newbie

Sorry I posted this in the wrong section of the forum. Anyway my question;
I was wondering if there was an easy way to update the version 2.4 to 2.9 and how should I proceed. I was thrown into the mix of figuring this out, as I am the new I.T. guy for a call center..Boss said if I have this working ASAP, he will pay for my Dental work, which is an easy $1200..You can see why..Also need to know, since it hasn't been updated, is this the reason the version we have now(2.4) is not working? I should also add Proxmox, Zoiper and GoAutodial are part of the whole deal.

Well give us more detail about your system. What version are you running, how many servers and what types of servers(web, dialer, database), what version of asterisk, etc. Also I am not as familiar with GoAutodial but it is a separate for from Vici and I am not sure how the update will affect it. I will try to answer some questions but you and the owner are really playing with fire since it seems like you might be a novice. Make sure to back it up before trying anything.

The system is moving the calls, but not going through to the agent stations. I updated Zoiper and am thinking I need to enter the appropriate info into each station I updated Zoiper on, total of 3 agent stations. Here is the info you requested below:

Proxmox: Virtual Environment Version 2.1.1/f9b0f63a
Vicidial VERSION: 2.4-309a
Server ID: Vicidial
Name: Vicidial Single Server (1 Server)
Server IP: 192.168.0.234
Active: Y
Asterisk: 1.4.39.1-vici
Trunks: 96
GMT: -5

Ok well just to let you know the Proxmox solution isn't going to handle a whole lot of system load well. Your call quality is going to drop drastically. Can you explain what you mean by the system is moving calls but not going through to the agents? Do you mean it shows the system dialing? Do you have the dialplans setup properly?

Yes it is showing the system dialing, as far the dialplans setup go, do you mean GoAutoDial, and if so, it is in place.
Dialplan Entry:
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX.,n,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@justgovoip,,tTo)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX.,n,Hangup

Ok just to confirm. You have a system that isn't sending calls to the agents right?

Have you verified that the system is actually dialing by running a list with a number of yours such as a cell phone? If the dial plan isn't setup right it will show calls being placed but nothing will obviously answer.

I will test that when the owner gets back, meanwhile, and I know you don't know much about GoAutoDial, but this is the dialplan that shows up in the Admin (Carriers Section on our system):
*Note: I had to space a couple URLs below, or otherwise I wouldn't have been able to submit this to you without it looking spammy.

Carrier Name: sipgoautodial

Carrier Description: sipgoautodial mod

Registration String: register => 2012969901:n3Fs81GyLv@dal.justgovoip. com:5060/2012969901

Template ID: None

Protocol: sip

Globals String: GOAUTODIALIAXTRUNK = IAX2/iaxgoautodial

Dialplan Entry:
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX.,n,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@justgovoip,,tTo)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX.,n,Hangup

Server IP: 192.168.0.234

Active: Y

And this is what GoAutoDial shows on their site for the U.S.:
exten => _91XXXXXXXXXX, 1, AGI (acted :/ / 127.0.0.1:4577 / call_log)
exten => _91XXXXXXXXXX, 2, Dial (SIP / $ {EXTEN: 1} @ goautodial, tTo)
exten => _91XXXXXXXXXX, 3, Hangup

Its dialing calls, the live report is normal, moving calls, hanging up calls, the call is not coming through the headsets, nor does the script come up. Here is something that you are not aware of, these units are not the original CPU units that were used after this system was built. System was built and operational Sept 1st, 2012. The system was beta tested and ran 12 hour shifts 6 days a week, everything worked optimally for 5 months. Owner was not involved with the phone room, this is why he doesn't know much about it. A good friend ran a phone room for him and his friend is the technician who built this. The phone room shut down in January 2013, owners friend did other things with the stations and these are different CPU units for the sale of the system. Had to reinstall Zoiper on the stations, and I believe this might be the issue, with why the agents are not getting anything through the headsets. What do I have to do to make Zoiper and Vicidial to work together.

You probably shouldn't post your carrier login username/password in public. Anyone can login and run up a phone bill in your name.

Thank you for that. I was hoping someone had an answer. I need to set up Vicidial and GoAutodial through Zoiper. Not sure where I can locate the credentials for what zoiper wants to tie everything together:
1. User/user@host
2. Password
3. Domain/outbound proxy

In ViciDIAL go to Admin -> Phones. These are the accounts that Zopier uses.

user = phone extension
password = registration password
domain/proxy = Server IP

Note that if you are unsure what phones are being used, create a new one. You should document which workstations have which phone though (A spreadsheet plus labels plus computer hostnames is how I do it here).
