conference room connect tone.

Postby ckwall » Thu Mar 29, 2007 3:44 pm

I want to have the agents hear some tone when they are connected to a person when in autodial mode. It works like it should with the default settings. But when I do some tests and auto dial my cell phone, as the person receiving the calls, I hear the tone too. Is there a way to correct that? I tried using the q option on the conference rooms in extensions.conf, but then my agents dont hear anything either. so they never hear the person say hello and then they hang up on us.

You would have to alter the app_meetme.c code to get that kind of effect.

If anyone knows which modifications need to be made in app_meetme.c and can advise me I'll try to make the changes. Or, even better, if someone has already made these modifications and can send me the code then please pm me!

I think the conference enter tone could be off-putting for call recipients since they will instantly know that it is not a normal call before they even talk to an agent.

I don't have a patch for this, but it should be possible. As for the tone being off-putting, I have not seen that as a complaint at any of the centers that I have set up.
